TRIP TO HOTEL
Nina, Donna, Carol, Ann, and Susie ran across a busy highway dragging luggage.
A few close calls but we got to
the other side in one piece!
We boarded a bus and entertained the troops (male passengers) with our old-timer jokes
and harmless flirting.
We almost had a few takers. Hahahahaha
When we arrived at the Ramada Hotel, lo and behold
~ someone shouted ~ “There’s Marsha lookin’ out the window.”
When we entered the main lobby
there was chaotic euphoria ~ excitement and hugssssss everywhere!

After introductions,
we went into the conference room and ate, drank, laughed, passed around Donna’s Geo-duck (?sp), played gazoos, took
pictures, attempted to call others via cell-phone, spoke to Trina (passed her around the table ~ hahahaha) and celebrated
Donna’s GOLDEN BOOT ANNY!
The 50’s men folk (Kevin, Bob, Ric and Ed) treated us women sooooooooooo fine!
Sad news ~ Melba’s car had other plans ~ It broke down and poor Melba was unable to make the trip!

We entered the biggest shopping center I’ve ever seen and, of course, we lost Nina and the shopping
cart!
There in the middle of the store, Marsha, Carol and Susie shouted “NINA” ~ There was total silence
as other customers slowly moved away from us! No Nina! Again we bellowed, “NINA.” I thought I saw the security
guards approaching us but I could be wrong!
Eventually, our Nina meandered up the aisle with an evil grin!

throughout the weekend, we christened various washrooms.
I kept records and came to the conclusion that Donna went to most.

Together we celebrated

Medallions, crowns, souvenirs, key chains, chocolate,
flip flops, photos of Donna’s personal chef and toasts filled the evening!

It seems only yesterday that I climbed onto the bus and boarded
the plane home (even though I can’t remember).
Our last goodbye ~ There would be no more waving and smiling at
each other. It was time to go our separate ways!
Today when I visit the Q and look around, I feel so proud being part
of such a loving group of friends ~ friends who not only dream but put action to their dreams.
We have more 3D Meets
to travel and stories to tell but until then ~ KTQ and smile!
