At the end of a particularly frustrating practice one day, a football coach dismissed his players by yelling,
"Now all you idiots, go take a shower!"
All but one player headed toward the locker room. The coach glared at him and
asked why he was still there. "You told all the idiots to go, sir," the player replied, "and there sure seems to be a lot
of them. But I am not an idiot." Confident? You bet. And smart enough to coach that team some day.
"Believe in yourself, even when no one else does!"

Having enough
The only difference between needing
more and having enough is your attitude. At any time, in any circumstance, you always have the option of deciding that you
are enough, and that you already have enough for the moment you're in. Always longing for more will eventually wear you
down into a painful, frustrating and overwhelming sense of disillusionment. Having enough, on the other hand, puts you into
a peaceful, positive and productive state of mind.
Just imagine how completely satisfying it would be to suddenly have
everything you need. You can know that satisfaction right now, in this very moment, just by allowing yourself to have enough.
It
costs you nothing to decide that you have enough. For having enough does not preclude you from creating more abundance in
your life.
In fact, having enough sets your creativity free and allows your effectiveness to soar to new heights. When
you get away from the stifling mindset of lack and limitation, truly magnificent things will happen.
By having enough,
your struggles disappear and are replaced with countless opportunities for real joy. See right now that you have enough, and
delight in the warm and genuine richness it brings.

Some of your efforts will bring valuable results. Other efforts will bring valuable experience. No effort is wasted
when you choose to value it. Everything you do serves to eventually move you forward.
Anticipate what might go wrong
and take steps to avoid those things. But don't make the mistake of avoiding action altogether just because there might be
problems.
When the goal is worthy and meaningful, get busy and make it happen. Focus on the end result, expect the
best, and make the commitment to deal with any obstacles that might arise.
Sure, it's easy to compile a list of excuses
for not taking action. But that will get you precisely nowhere.
Though you know it won't always be easy going, take
bold steps forward anyway. Be willing to meet the resistance that you know will come, and to work your way through, and real
achievement is surely yours.

Let joy flow freely
How is it possible to know joy?
It comes when you simply allow it. Joy requires no special conditions. You can experience joy in the smallest of moments
as well as in the most magnificent situations.
Even in times of sadness and loss, there is room for joy. That joy,
melancholy as it may be, comes from the realization that your sadness means you sincerely care.
See joy as something
you give rather than something that has to be created for you. Understand that joy is a choice you can make at any time, and
you will experience it in abundance.
Put joy into what you do, and you will do it better. Give joy to your relationships,
and they will grow strong.
Joy will come when you let it. Let joy flow freely through the moments of your life, and
the rich value it gives will always be yours.

You are over it
You may have wasted the entire day,
week or month up to this point. Yet that's no reason to continue with the unproductive, negative pattern. No matter what
has gone on before, you can make the most of right now. Any prior ineffectiveness cannot stop you from being truly and purposefully
effective in this moment.
You may have made a lot of mistakes and errors in judgment on your way to where you are.
But that has nothing to do with where you can choose to go from here.
Don't worry about getting over the past. You
are over it because you are here right now.
Right now, your best dreams beckon. Right now, there is plenty that you
can do.
Can you feel the incredible freedom and opportunity that this moment represents? Take hold of that freedom,
seize this precious, promising moment and live the life you are meant to live.

Before
Seek to understand before you attempt to judge.
Opinions formed in haste can often be the source of great trouble and needless hostility. Take the time to think and to
plan before you act. Though it is essential that you do take action, it is best when you've carefully thought it through.
Replenish
what you need before it runs completely out. You'll avoid wasted time and effort as well as much anxiety and expense.
Think
about your true purpose before making any commitments. You're much more effective and fulfilled when following a path that
resonates with who you sincerely are.
Look carefully and thoughtfully at where you're going long before you actually
get there. Not only will you be more fully prepared once you arrive, you'll avoid any wasted effort spent getting to where
you don't even want to go.
Many things in life can be dramatically more enjoyable and productive when you have the
forethought to do certain other things first. Think, consider, plan and prepare before you do, and then you'll be able to
truly delight in the doing.

Transformation
Light does not conquer darkness by
pushing the darkness out of the way. Rather, the light comes into the darkness and transforms it with brilliant, positive
energy. In the same way, the obstacles in life are not conquered by fighting them on their own terms or attempting to push
them out of the way. The best way to move past a difficult situation is to transform it with positive, productive energy.
No
matter how much you push against the darkness it will not go anywhere. Yet the moment you shine your light, the darkness is
no more.
When you fight against your problems, all it usually accomplishes is to make them stronger and give them
more validity. That's certainly not what you would ever intend.
Instead, seek to transform those problems, those difficult
situations, by virtue of your own positive values and efforts. Focusing on what you're working toward is far better than being
obsessed with whatever you think you're against.
Rather than struggling against the situation, give the best you have
to it. Rather than fighting darkness with more darkness, transform that darkness by letting your light shine.

What are you willing to create in your life? How are you
willing to spend the precious resource of your time, and what are you willing to accomplish? There are countless things
that you are able to do. What matters is what you are willing to do.
Life is filled with things that you wish for,
that you see yourself as needing, that you feel you must do, and that you think you can't live without. The attainment and
fulfillment of each of these things depends on whether you are willing or whether you are not.
You can make magnificent
promises, you can make understandable excuses, you can set goals, and you can make impressive plans. Yet it all comes down
to what you are willing to do, where you are willing to take yourself, and how you are willing to live.
Skills, training,
resources, connections and experience are all very helpful. In the end, though, what will make it happen is your willingness.
What
are you willing to do with the spectacular opportunity that is your life? Be willing, and it will surely happen.

Thoughts into joy
Your thoughts are what frighten
you. Choose to change them, and the fear is gone. Your thoughts are what cause you to be frustrated, angry, disappointed,
impatient and uncomfortable. And your thoughts can also take you far away from all those things.
For your thoughts
can transform anger into forgiveness, disappointment into determination, discomfort into inspiration, and fear into love.
The choice is always yours.
The world is what it is. Yet your thoughts determine how you situate yourself into the
world.
By controlling your thoughts you control the kind of world in which you live. At the times when you realize
it, and at the times when you don't, you are always controlling your thoughts.
Deep inside you is a beautiful, unique
person who seeks true joy and fulfillment. Let your thoughts resonate with the genuine person you are, and that joy does surely
come.

Something good
Something good is going to occur today.
You can count on it. Something good has already happened. And it will continue.
Even if you don't expect it, something
good is now underway. Expect it, accept it, and you'll more fully reap its value.
Something good is going on and growing
stronger. You can choose to grow along with it.
Something good is everywhere. Open yourself to it and you'll know.
Today
is a day for something good to happen. Let it happen through you.

Free to choose
You do not have to keep making the
same mistakes. You can choose to change. You do not have to keep being held back by the same fears and insecurities. You
have the ability to move forward if you wish.
There is no good reason why you must settle for anything less than the
very best that life has to offer. Anything is possible when you put your full commitment and the energy of your life into
it.
The past has brought you to where you are, yet it has no power to hold you back. In each moment, you are free to
choose your own direction.
Reach within yourself and connect with a guiding purpose that you know is right for you.
Allow yourself to fully be the unique and beautiful person you are meant to be.
This day, this moment is a blank canvas
upon which you are now able to paint. Fill it with the magnificent splendor that you know is yours to give.
